And sometimes it's just hard to find the money to do something special with your sweety.
Well here is a list of dates in different price ranges,
for all those looking to mix things up a bit,
and have that perfect date.
Okay this one I am super excited about- it's probably my new favorite.
So you divide the date up into two parts.
One of you is in charge of planning the first half of the date, and the other, the second half.
Don't tell each other what you have planned-
just tell them what to wear and where to meet you or when to be ready to leave by.
Joel and I did a mock-trial of this.
I was in charge of the first half, and he had the second.
I picked having tea at my new favorite Tea Room,
and he finished up the night with dinner and a movie at our local drive-in movie theater.
When I was researching this I came across a story of a couple who did this,
She ended up picking out a casual food truck dinner for the beginning,
and he ended the night with a fancy trip to the Opera.
Lol
Have fun and see where the date takes you!
2. "Go living room camping:
This one is Joel's new favorite.
The concept is precious and very simple.
Make a fort in the living room,
Order some food, or make something yummy together and have a little candle -light dinner in your fort,
old school style. ;)
It's so cute and fun-
and it will definitely bring a smile to your faces.
3. Have a theme date:
Pick a theme.
Like one time Joel and I had a Nacho night.
We made a nacho bar for dinner,
watched Nacho libre together,
and finished the night off with some dessert nachos.
Get creative- maybe try an "Under the Sea" theme night.
Fix a great seafood dinner,
Watch the Little Mermaid or 20.000 Leagues under the Sea
and for something sweet- try some swedish fish.
4. Get all fancy:
Do something ridiculously fancy.
Totally outside of your daily norm-
Go to a Art Gallery opening, the opera, an off broadway show, a Gala, a ball, a dinner cruise... etc...
This is pretty much a real-life treasure hunt.
Look for all the little notes and things hidden around your area.
Don't know what geocaching is?

I use to do this all the time with my Dad when I was little.
He would wake us up in the middle of the night and we would drive far away from all the city lights until we found a place dark enough to see the stars.
The we would put sleeping bags out in the back of his truck and camp out watching the stars drop out of the sky.
We made a lot of wishes ;)

It doesn't have to be a big production-
just plan a special intimate night between just the two of you,
and get back to your basics.
=)
8. Recreate you first date or visit your special places together:
Try to remember your very first date, and then recreate it.
This would be an awesome surprise for your partner.
Or go visit where you first kissed, got married, said "I love you", first house etc...
A little romantic trip down memory lane.
9. Come fly with me:
Cheap airlines (like Spirit Airlines) combined with the power of Groupon,
could make for a cheap romantic night or weekend in another city.
I have found tickets on Spirit Airlines to places like Dallas, or Las Vegas for as cheap as $30 each way.
And then type the name of the city you are traveling to into groupon and get an amazing deal on a great resort or hotel in that area.
(I'm talking like $11 a night for a great hotel)
Use sites such as Living Social and Groupon to find amazing deals in your area on restaurants, shows, events and so much more..

Get creative, work with what you have and dream big,
You're sure to find some fun adventure.
like always, comment and leave some feedback or more date ideas.
Until we speak again,
